OK, I have the tv above and have owned it for about 30 days.  Aside from the backlight bleeding in the corners I have another major issue.
If anyone has this tv, please chime in.  The issue is on the top rear of the tv (where the vents are) there is a light that shines through.  It looks like a fluorescent bulb inside and it shines so bright that it comes out of the tv and shines onto my wall.  Imagine watching tv at night and you constantly see bright vertical lines of light on the wall above the tv.  It doesn't matter whats showing on the screen, the light is constantly on.
I've done some research and couldn't find anyone with this issue.  I had a 42 Toshiba and never had any light from from anywhere but the screen.

Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated

I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

That's odd.

You obviously don't want to block the vents, but it might be possible to put some cardboard or construction paper sticking out and hanging down the back so that at least it wouldn't be shining on the wall.

That's all I've come up with so far.
