This camera is 5 months old and does not work. Plugs into USB, brief green insignia logo on screen then black.  Red Light on and solid.  Battery is properly installed - lettering out.  Have tried several USB cables, USB ports on different PC's.   I would really like to get this working. This appears to be a common problem - Insignia - what do you say?  Thanks

Insignia products come with a 1 year warranty. So if you still have your receipt, the easiest thing to do is take it back in to Best Buy and tell them the same thing you posted here. They will either replace the bad part if it is a simple fix or just replace the entire camera.

It seems most likely that the battery went back, but it could also be a bad connection somewhere preventing a charge.
