Insignia™ 19" Class / 720p / 60Hz / LCD HDTV DVD Combo

SO, I had this and a crappy Gateway for about 3 years. I totally forget the whole of the setup process, but it was relatively simple and I was able to just plug the cable in regularly. Now I have a new Dell, and I plug the computer in and set the input to PC and get No Sync indefinitely. I tried all the obvious and stupid methods of turning things off and on and replugging them, but all I ever get is No Sync. I am not sure if this is unrelated or not, but I am also using a DVI to VGA adapter that came with the Dell.

Dell (DVI) > Adapter (DVI>VGA) > Cable

Hope that makes it clear enough, thanks!
