This camcorder produces .AVI files that my daughter is having problem with when attempting to use them with various editors such as Windows Movie Maker, Windows Movie Maker Live, Cyberlinks PowerDirector & Adobe Premiere.

She experiences either of the following problems.

1. When several cut video are entered onto the timelime of the editor only some of them show video when played back in the timeline or in the published clip or

2. The clips are only identified as audio clips in the editor.

They play back fine in Windows Media Player.

Using a clean install of Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit.  Also, tried using the included FFDShow codec and also the newer "FFDShow Tryouts" but I still get the same errors when editing.

Any help is appreciated.
