My insignia port will be playing and suddenly shut off, and I cant get it back on for a couple hours to a day, this time it did it and I cant get it back on at all, is there any way possible to reset it? Ive tired plugging it into the USB but it still wont turn on.

I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

This is very strange. I know with the newer models if you hold the power button for about 30 seconds it will hard reset, but I don't know if this works when they have shut off like that. I'd suggest giving it a try though.

Also, I'm not sure exactly how hard it is to remove the battery on the sport, but I know most of the insignia players are fairly easy. Try taking out the battery if the back snaps off, or if it just has one screw (or a black dot covering a screw). The batteries usually either just pop out or have a simple clip holding them in. It should restart fine then.

Or you can call insignia mp3 help at 1-800-699-9218 and see if they have any suggestions.

Post back here whether or not any of that works.
