If you are so inclined to upgrade to the 2.5 version of ArcSoft MediaConverter from the bundled version 2 that came with your Pilot there is a trick involved.

An upgrade costs $14.95 vs 29.95 retail. You have to have the serial number for the bundled version 2 software if you register it to get the $14.95 upgrade. To obtain the serial number, find the ArcSoft MediaConverter2 folder, usually in \Program Files\ArcSoft\MediaConverter2. Find and open the file MediaConverter.SET, Notepad works fine for this. There are two serial numbers listed here. Copy the second one. Then click on Register in the ArcSoft software or go to the web site to register. Past the serial number in and proceed.

The 2.5 version adds some additional file formats and I have been told by one user that it includes the ability to rip a DVD movie and convert it for use on the Pilot.

Hope this is helpful. In my case I currently cannot get version 2.5 to run on my XP Home system. Still have not figured out where the problem lies.
