Hey guys, I am hoping you can help me with my problem since Best Buy cannot.

I have a crack in the screen of my Insignia pilot going right down the center diagonally, I have the service warranty from bestbuy. I just got home very disgruntled, angry, p/o'ed as they come. They told me that they can't replace it because the warranty doesn't cover it 'physical damage'.

Anyway, is there anyway I can change the screen inside so I can use it again? Or am I sh!t out of luck and have to get a new mp3 player?

   Thanks,

Sal

Hmmm... did you cause the crack? If it cracked on its own for some reason I think the extended warranty "should" cover it... but good luck convincing Best Buy of this.

I am afraid even if you could replace the display it will cost more than buying a new Pilot.

I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Best Buy is very picky on their returns and warranty's. They won't accept anything with physical damage.

And yeah, the screen would be expensive if you could even find it, and then you'd have to take your pilot apart and risk even more damage. I don't think there's much you can do.
