After our power flashed off then on  we lost all of our chanels and now have only snow on the screen of our new Insignia 26" screen tv and we can't get our chanels back. What do we have to do to get our chanels back? We are on Direct tv.

Sounds like the tv is looking for a broadcast signal and not your Direct TV signal. Make sure any dvr you have from them is on, and then use the remote to switch input mode. Alternatively, some TV's change input by a set of channels below ch2.
