Great news to all Insignia Pilot lovers! I found a source of NEW inexpensive but high-quality replacement batteries for only $6.75 U.S. + $6.99 shipping!

I found them on EBay from a seller named "grade_a_battery". Thie specs on the battery are as follows:

Rechargeable Li-ion Polymer Battery Pack

Compatible  for  INSIGNIA NS-4V24, NS-8V24 battery

      Part Number                : E4H04-1-R
    *
      Type                          : Li-ion Polymer
    *
      Capacity                       : 560 mAh
    *
      Voltage                         : 3.7 V.
    *
      Color                            : Black.
    *
This Item status           : Brand new.  12 months warranty.
    *
The product has passed the international attestation of ISO9001, RoHS & CE Certificate

His current store listing on EBay can be found at:

 http://myworld.ebay.com/grade_a_battery/

Once there, search his "items for sale" for Insignia, or, you can try the following link (it's long so copy and paste it into ebay) to go directly to the battery.

 http://cgi.ebay.com/Battery-for-INSIGNIA-NS-4V24-NS-8V24-E4H04-1-R-560mAh_W0QQitemZ360155741555QQihZ023QQcategoryZ50603QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3911.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D2%26ps%3D63

Note: I just bought one and though it's just a bit larger than the original Pilot's battery, it does fit though very tightly  AND I found that I now get 20-25hrs. of play time on a fully charged battery!

How can you beat that!!!

Keep in mind the above "direct link" to the battery might change over time so if it doesn't work, go to the seller's store and search for it.

I'm sorry Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.
